• The role of imported coal in future energy sector development projects

The consumption of coal in general or the use of than nhập khẩu in particular is shown with a specific role on the energy development structure map, especially in the national electricity development model. Currently, in Vietnam, most coal power plants operate and supply products to the market thanks to this imported coal for production. In general, choosing coal imports has a major impact on stabilizing and maintaining the sustainability of the national energy industry.

Than nhập khẩu has officially entered the Vietnamese coal market since 2013, due to high demand for coal. Domestic domestic coal source is temporarily unable to meet the demand and is beyond the ability to exploit. Therefore, the coal import is considered necessary and essential for implementation. Since choosing to import coal for production, the inadequacies in the energy balance have been solved quite well, and are stable until now.
Than nhập khẩu is among the factors that affect energy development. The energy system becomes diverse with the contribution of this source, making all purposes of power consumption more flexible. The use of burning coal in the production process will be implemented in parallel with the application of clean technology, helping to ensure safety, hygiene and no harm to the environment.
Many people believe that the search for than nhập khẩu to use is contrary to the world's recommendations, causing many environmental consequences. The more coal power plants operate at greater capacity, the greater the risk. However, this also depends on many other objective factors and in the context of the actual context of each country. In the immediate future, coal still plays an important role in the structure of energy industry development in Vietnam and resolves to the utmost the problem of electricity shortage.
For many years, than nhập khẩu was purchased continuously and increased year by year, and accounted for a large market share in the structure of sustainable power source (in 2019: coal power accounted for 27%), and forecast in the future, on 50% by 2040. However, this is only a temporary forecast for the planning of ideal sourcing plans. In parallel with the use of coal, clean renewable energy is also considered a good solution, but there are certain limitations and cannot completely replace the coal source, for example: mining conditions, facilities infrastructure, cost ....
